On Thursday evening I once again sat down with neurodiverse jobseeker Dominique Maasdam and her mum, Nicola to find out how her efforts were going and if anything had changed since we last spoke.
Since our initial conversation, Dominique has seen little movement in her career pursuits however she had been for an interview with a successful chain of British pubs - once again receiving plaudits for her interview capability and being told that she would hear from the company within 48 hours.
After disclosing her autism to this employer, Dominique felt that they did not truly understand her condition, with one member of the recruitment panel stating: "I have autism too when I'm stressed".
With the company never getting back in touch, Dominique and Nicola have been left increasingly frustrated once more.
Speaking on the issue, Nicola said: "It's super frustrating and it's hard because I'm trying to keep her (Dominique) motivated and buoyed and saying it's going great, you've done really well, well done.
"And then we hear nothing and she loses faith in herself and I've got to try and build that up again and it just gets harder and harder each time."
You can hear more from Nicola in the clip below.
More to follow.
